Mother and I got into a argument over my sexuality, and told me how dressing like a man and lusting after women is clearly from paternal trauma. I feel like I'm a fake because I've had issues with my father my whole life, and me being a butch(? I believe thats the term correct me if I'm wrong not updated on the slang) I feel like I'm falling into a stereotype. I don't know how to feel better. Have you ever had problems like these?

Hey sweetie. It’s not trauma. It just isnt. She is very evidently being closed minded. Being butch is just a feeling and style choice. I’m so sorry you feel stereotypical and not understood - but theres absolutely nothing wrong with dressing and acting in a way that makes you comfortable. I am your mum now and I love and support you. I have had problems like these. My mother also has said that the way I behave is because she didnt raise me well enough. It’s a way to make her the victim. Its irrelevant. I am very very very happy with who I am and what I wear and who I love. Self possession is key my darling. Hugs and kisses.
